For centuries, artists have been carving images into gemstones and crystals, a process known as intaglioss. Carving crystals and gemstones is an intricate and time-honored process. The stone is cut with diamond saws and often ground into a cabochon, though other shapes and cuts are also used. I perform the entire process by hand. Once the stone is shaped and polished, I carve the design into it. My settings range from fine silver to 18-karat gold, depending on the stone, and are entirely handcrafted. Each piece is one of a kind.
